Upholstery leathers for the Hallwyl Museum, Stockholm
— Article écrit par Fred le 14/09/2014 —
For the Hallwyl museum http://hallwylskamuseet.se/en we supplied upholstery leathers, which were fitted to a set of chairs form the Hallwyl dining room by Lages AB. LSH Museums is a group of three Swedish museums (the Royal Armoury, Skokloster Castle, and The Hallwyl Museum) constituting a government agency accountable to the Ministry of Culture.
The original leathers could have been restored, yet the choice was made to replace them. In the reserves of the museum, the original embossing mould was stored securely, which is exceptional. We merely made the original mould operational in the workshop. After conclusive samples, the LSH staff decided to replace the panels, with the original damaged leathers stored in the reserve.
Below some variations of the Hallwyl panel:
Many thanks to the LSH Staff, especially Mrs. Ingalill Jansson, and our Swedish partners Annika & Leif from Lages AB http://www.lagestapetserarverkstad.se.
As Always,
